Position Description

The multimedia designer manipulates and creates images and information utilizing a variety of sources - including audio, video, still images, photography, animation, text, and digital data - with an understanding of instructional design and HTML5.   This position conceptualizes, drafts, and designs a variety of products, such as interactive online trainings, print materials, movies, websites, presentations, slide shows, corporate branding, and marketing pieces, using various multimedia products, including Articulate Storyline, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, and After Effects.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize talent to conceptualize, draft, and design original print, multimedia, and video designs for various training and facilitation programs throughout the organization and prepare files for production
  • Edit video, keying green-screen footage and adding and editing effects, graphics, and audio
  • Utilize multimedia technical programs to conceptualize and produce final deliverables
  • Complete tasks within a team setting, meeting expected deadlines and adjusting to changing client demands
  • Self-manage timelines and work requirements
  • Catalog and file all materials in a logical and easily accessible manner
  • Complete closed-captioning and other compliance components, as required
  • Be able and willing to quickly adapt to new technologies and/or software programs
  • Follow company procedure related to quality control (QC) on all products
  • Actively contribute to the culture of communication, collaboration, and creativity
  • Other related duties and assignments, as required

Knowledge and Skills

  • Minimum of two to three years of directly related experience in graphic design and/or digital editing that demonstrates talent, originality, and software proficiency
  • Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen to interact with many different departments and decision makers within the organization
  • Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong personal and professional values
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks with tight deadlines with close attention to details

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Windows OS, the Internet, and HTML5
  • Experience working with Articulate Storyline, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects


Physical Demands and Work Environment

Most work is performed in an office environment.  The employee is required to sit for long periods of time.
